Phoenix Suns paid tribute to Aztec culture in their new sweater

Mexico City /

A revolution for the NBA. With a design inspired by the culture of the Aztecs, the Phoenix Suns reveal their new sweater that pays homage to this pre – Hispanic culture of Mexico.

The team of the NBA unveiled what will be a game uniform featuring the drawing of the Sun placed in the center of the famous Stone of the Sun, or as it is known: Aztec calendars.

The pre-Hispanic details are on the front and back of the sweater, which is black with vivid purple. A radical change in the traditional white color with the logo of the Alone at the front.

“A tribute to the first ancestors of La Vall“For our Mexican fans and Mexican American fans, as well as the warrior spirit that takes us into battle every day,” the text states in the official Suns accounts.

The sweater was not so well received among fans that they made several comments on the entries where the new uniform appears. The main criticism is that the Aztecs they were not the ancestors who lived in the Valley because they dominated the center of Mexico and part of Central America.
