the New York Yankees they have been the most popular team in the Major Leagues in recent times, and while virtually the entire club has alternated in terms of heroism, there has been one constant during New York’s impressive streak: the opening rotation.
Upon entering today Friday, the Yankees openers had pitched 2.94 in their last 40 openings, allowing three or fewer runs in 35 of those outings and no more than two runs in 29 of them:
The 2.94 rotation effectiveness during this 40-game stretch is the lowest in the American League and the third lowest in the Major Leagues, just behind the Milwaukee Brewers (2.46) and Los Angeles Dodgers (2.52).

Are the openers feeding each other from game to game, or are they climbing the mound every day without wanting to be the one to kill the momentum? While they’re pears or they’re apples, NYY plays in the Bronx against the weak Minnesota Twins.

I’m a fan of the King of Sports, especially the Boston Red Sox in MLB and generally all of Mexican baseball. This profession has given me the opportunity to cover major events such as Caribbean Series, LMB All Star, LMP (uninterrupted since 2009), major player signatures. I had the chance to attend the 2013 World Classic in Arizona, USA, albeit as an amateur. Apart from this beautiful sport, I love basketball, where I also narrated games and even an NBA friendly 10 years ago, but I carry baseball in my veins. I have a degree in Communication Sciences from the University Autonomous of Sinaloa (UAS), from which I graduated in 2011. I was born in Mazatlán, Sinaloa and started in the world of sports journalism in 2004 in the newspaper El Sol de Mazatlán, where I being a baseball columnist and a reporter at the same time. In January 2009 I came to El Debat as a journalist reporter and it was almost six years (in the first stage), until in November 2014 I emigrated to the radio providing my services on Línea Directa-Grup RSN. My cycle here ended in July 2019 and in days, My Debate provided another opportunity to work and reopened the doors for me. That’s how I got to A l’Bat, where I’ve been since 2019 as a web journalist.
