Pixar’s Soul made history on Christmas week, when it reached number one on the Nielsen streaming charts for Christmas week.
The computer-animated film made history for Pixar and its parent company The Walt Disney Company by becoming the first feature film to surpass streaming ratings, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film has almost universal recognition and currently has an impressive 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Soul debuted on Disney + ‘s streaming service, but unlike Mulan’s less well-received live-action remake, subscribers didn’t have to pay any additional fees to access it.

The second place among the streaming ratings was The Office, a long-time viewer favorite.
It aired for 1.44 billion minutes as viewers rushed to watch it before leaving Netflix.
Office had been available to Netflix writers for years and was one of the service’s most popular offerings, but it moved to NBC’s new Peacock streaming service early in the new year.
The streamer has several price levels and the first two seasons of the program are available for free, but seasons three through nine are only available to paid subscribers.
To attract new viewers, Peacock offers extensive versions of some episodes that incorporate deleted scenes.
Peacock is not one of the streamers polled by Nielsen at the moment, but he and HBO Max are expected to be added soon.
