An artificial intelligence program and a questionnaire that will be given to all upper cycle students in Primary (fifth and sixth), ESO and Post-compulsory Secondary are the two main elements of a plan to preserve emotional well-being and health. mental health of the students that the Departments of Education and Health will implement this course.
The survey, which will be distributed during the first term of the course, will be used to find out how the Covid pandemic has affected students and the state of their emotional health.
At the same time, the project includes enabling a space in the centers so that young people can share their emotions. It will be an itinerant space in which students, either live or through videos, will be able to share experiences and express their concerns.
From here, a pilot program of artificial intelligence will identify the keywords, detecting possible needs in terms of emotional health, cases that can be referred to the corresponding health channels.
Other actions planned during the course will be to strengthen the Psychopedagogical Advisory Teams (EAP) with 101 more professionals to accompany the centers and attend to the most vulnerable students. Emotional education will also be reinforced in the curriculum, which will be addressed in a transversal way at all stages, and which will play a prominent role in tutoring.
Likewise, the Minister of Education, Josep Gonzàlez-Cambray, has guaranteed that the privacy of the health and vaccination data that must be shared in the school environment will be preserved “to the maximum”. In another order, Gonzàlez-Cambray explained that the FP enrollment process has freed up 8,000 places, for young people who have not enrolled, and opened the door to increase more places until September 8.
