Jens Lehmann recalled what it was like to share a dressing room with Mexicans who were crowned in Stuttgart
The German national team exporter, Jens Lehmann, has described as “an experience” playing with the Mexicans Pavel Pardo and Ricardo Osorio in Stuttgart of which he highlighted his professionalism in the field.
The 2002 world runner-up in Korea and Japan highlighted the quality of his teammates, although he recalled that Germany does not see MX League matches, so he is unaware of the current situation in Mexico.
“I played with two Mexicans in Stuttgart (Ricardo Osorio and Pável Pardo), It was quite an experience, they had a very good mentality, great professionals, Mexican football is a bit complicated to see in Germany, I can’t really follow Mexican football much, “he mentioned.
Similarly, he explained that the national representative has its prestige at the international level and could grow if they transcend in a world championship.
“Mexico is traditionally a football country, very hot in style, they should win something big, if they played in the semifinals it might be easier to talk about it,” said the former Arsenal player.
Lehmann also spoke of Carlos Vela, with whom he shared a dressing room with the artillerymen at a time when the Aztec striker was living his early years in European football.
“I lost it, right now (in MLS) it’s already something big for Germany, (in Arsenal) I had a great talent, super technique, everyone thought that here I was going to get to transcend, although it was actually maybe a little young, “he said.
Lehmann, who played for the London unbeaten Premier League side in the 2003-2004 season, also spoke about Guillermo Ochoa and although he emphasized his qualities in the past, he admitted that he currently does not. he has followed in the footsteps of the American goalkeeper.
“I’ve seen him play about two or three times, but that’s all, I couldn’t even tell where he was playing”; declared.
