In addition to a general increase in Special Defense stats, Blissey’s Safeguard will also get more functionality in the next Pokémon Unite update. The move removes all status conditions from the user and a chosen ally, as well as providing a temporary buff that avoids obstacles such as Sleep and Stun. With the upgrade, the move will see its range expanded and the cooling time decreased, which means it should be able to help more teammates.
