Police arrested a young neighbor who reported harassment through social media

Dariel Bravo Rivera, 30, was arrested tonight at his residence in Rio Pedres, following a complaint by 19-year-old Victoria Pizarro Ayala, through a video posted on a social platform, in which the He claims to be the victim of a pattern of harassment by his neighbor.

“Following the public complaints of the young woman and her family this morning and in view of the Law of Surveillance and the Executive Order 2021-13, issued by Governor Pedro Pierluisi Urrutia, I decided to activate the protocol existing for such cases in protection of the complainant, “said Police Commissioner Antonio Lopez Figueroa.

“We will be following up on this case and we are confident that the Court will protect this young woman with the diligence she deserves,” the Police Commissioner added.

Pizarro Ayala narrated, in a live video, the moment when the man came to the balcony of his residence to try to open the door while she was alone. He also denounced an alleged pattern of harassment since 2018, by who his neighbor is. For this reason, the young woman alleged that on several occasions her family has gone to court in search of search warrants.

Officer Juan Ramos Rivera proceeded to arrest Bravo Rivera, around 10:45 a.m., for items that could constitute a felony under Act 284 of the ambush. The case will be consulted tomorrow with the Prosecutor’s Office.
