Puerto Rican police reportedly finished gathering the necessary conduct today to close the case of the three officers killed last Monday amid a shooting at Baldorioty de Castro in Carolina, Metro sources have confirmed.
Today, the police carried out an extensive operation on the Luis Llorens Torres residential area in Sant Joan to continue investigating the case.
Agents Luis Salaman Conde, Eliezer Hernández Cartagena and Luis Marrero Díaz died after the incident that had started as a vehicular intervention in front of the Món Feliç condominium.
There the occupant of a white Hyundai Accent opened fire with a long gun at officers.
The news comes a day after authorities found the body of David Emanuel Rivera Batiz, 25, who was killed and left on a street in Santurce with the sign that said “I am responsible for the murder of the guard … Here it is” .
