Florida police were seen leaving a pink envelope at the home of Long Island’s missing woman’s boyfriend, Gabby Petito, as authorities say they are preparing for the possibility that something “sinister” may have happened to her.
Petito, 22, last met in Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park in late August while on a road trip in a converted van with his boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, who has since returned home. in North Port, Florida.
Exclusive photos obtained by The Post show cops leaving an envelope outside Laundrie’s home.
North Port police said they tried to talk to Laundrie, but their parents rejected them, putting them in touch with their lawyer.
“We spoke to his parents, who did not make him available,” North Port Police spokesman Josh Taylor told The Post.
“We would love to [talk to him]. He certainly has all the rights he has available. We’ll see how it goes, we’ve been in this for about 72 hours, “he said.

Meanwhile, police have confiscated the converted van in which the couple was traveling from their home.
“She is here in the police department. He will be prosecuted with the FBI, “Taylor said.
Petito’s family said they cared about Petito’s whereabouts after several days had passed since he last contacted his mother on Aug. 25.
She was reported missing Saturday to authorities in Suffolk County, New York, where her family still lives, and North Port police are assisting in the investigation.

“We’re hoping it’s somewhere, sometimes people just don’t want to communicate, so it’s certainly still a viable option, but we have to prepare for something more sinister,” he said. Taylor on Fox 13.
Petito’s family on Monday declined to comment on his relationship with Laundrie.
“I want to keep the focus on finding [Gabby]”Her father, Joe Petito, told The Post among questions about what happened to her daughter.”[Laundrie] do not care. The van [they were in] do not care “.
The Post was unable to reach Laundrie.
