The suspect in the Boulder King Soopers shooting has been charged with 10 first-degree murder offenses, police said Tuesday.
Boulder police chief Maris Harold identified the alleged gunman in Monday’s massacre as Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa 21, of Arvada, about 20 miles south of Boulder.
He also identified the 10 murdered victims, who are between 20 and 65 years old, and said the last body was removed from the scene at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.
About two hours later family members were notified.
“I want to tell the community, I am very sorry that this incident happened,” the head said with tears in its eyes, “and we will do everything in our power to ensure that this suspect has a thorough trial and we do a thorough investigation “.
