A Central Florida teacher was found behind bars after police said she fought a group of students outside a fast-food restaurant after a basketball game in high school.

NBC affiliate WFLA-TV reports that the incident took place on Friday in Bartow, where a group of students were involved in an altercation in the game. Then the group went to eat at a McDonald’s area.

At the restaurant, Liquindella Clark, a Polk County teacher and mother of another teenager who was allegedly involved in the first altercation at school, approached the group and began arguing with them, according to the police department. of Bartow.

Clark was removed from the restaurant, but waited in the parking lot and allegedly began physically fighting the group. Police say Clark injured a student in the face, removed his wig and hit a second student in the head.

Witnesses called police, who arrived and arrested Clark. He faces charges of child abuse in the case. Officials have not said whether she will be suspended from her teaching post pending an investigation.
