Police suspect Neb to death in New York subway

New York City police have arrested a man suspected of a deadly chain of knife attacks on homeless people on the city’s subway, according to several reports. Two people were killed and two others were injured within hours of this weekend’s brutal stabbing along train line A. According to the New York Post, the suspect, who has not yet been named, was still soiled with the blood of his victims when he was arrested and was carrying the knife allegedly used in the killers.

The fury began Friday morning, when a 67-year-old man was cut on the platform of St. John’s Station 181. The man survived, but events took a heavy turn on Friday night when the body of a man was found in a blood pool of a subway car at a station on Line A in Queens. A few hours later, a woman who had been stabbed several times was found dead under a train seat. Another man was stabbed while sleeping in a stairwell of a station on line A, but got help at a nearby bank and is said to be in stable condition. Police have not yet revealed details about a possible reason, but have said the victims are believed to be homeless. “We know one of the victims was asleep … It wasn’t all provoked,” NYPD Deputy Director Brian McGee said at a news conference Saturday.
