Popular mayors create their own Executive Order dissatisfied with that of the governor

The mayor of Villalba and president of the Association of Mayors, Luis Javier Hernández Ortiz, Has announced that the 41 associate mayors unanimously determined to implement their own Executive Order with more restrictions for COVID-19 in the face of their dissatisfaction with what was announced yesterday by Governor Pedro Pierluisi Urrutia.

“While we are grateful that the Governor has embraced some of the recommendations that the Association of Mayors of Puerto Rico issued yesterday, we understand there should be greater restriction on airports, beaches, rivers, spas, strengthen oversight of the “Executive order, and extend the schedules and conduct of both vaccines and testing of Covid-19,” said Hernandez.

Shops that do not comply with the provisions will be closed for one month.
