Practice with AirPods max

Today is the official launch day of the AirPods Max, Apple’s newest headphones in the AirPods family. IrAirPods Max‌ is a bit controversial due to the high price, so we took a couple to see what you get for that $ 549 price tag.

‌AirPods Max‌ feature fresh aluminum headphones to the touch with padded mesh ear cushions and a mesh headband. Cleverly designed, the headphones have an excellent appearance when it comes to improving quality. There is a digital crown at the top, which is a good method of physical control, along with a button to control active noise cancellation.

The buttons work well, but we missed the inclusion of a power button as there is no way to turn off the headphones. They switch to standby mode when removed or to an ultra-low feed mode when placed in the sleeve, but otherwise there is no power control option.

Speaking of which, it’s not fantastic. It looks weird and doesn’t offer much protection because it’s made of a soft material. The box doesn’t cover the headband and there are openings at the bottom as well, so you don’t want to throw them in a bag with the $ 549 headphones inside.

The case also doesn’t charge the headphones (there’s a USB-C to Lightning cable included for that), and it’s made of a smart lid-shaped material that can attract dust and dirt.

In terms of comfort, the irAirPods Max‌ did not cause pain even if they were a lot heavy, but so far we have only used them for a short period of time. In the time we have spent with them, we have been impressed by the level of comfort and the way the mesh band distributes the weight to the head. The telescopic arms to adjust the fit are also a nice touch and overall everything is excellent.

By the way, the ear pads are magnetic and come off, so if you want to buy a second set for $ 69 when Apple starts selling them, you can mix and match colors. The headband cannot be removed, so ear pads are the only customization option.

IrAirPods Max‌ all have the same H1 features as other ‌AirPods‌, so expect fast pairing, easy device exchange, and long-range Bluetooth. They have EQ adapter to adjust the sound to the head adjustment and active noise cancellation. We will delve into active noise cancellation in a future video comparing ‌AirPods Max‌ with other noise-canceling headphones, but so far noise cancellation is excellent.

In terms of sound quality, the irAirPods Max‌ sounds incredibly sharp, even at high volume levels. Combined with active noise cancellation, it is an insulating experience that completely blocks the outside world.

We haven’t been able to test the battery life, but Apple says the irAirPods Max will last up to 20 hours before needing a recharge. There’s also a fast charge feature that gives you more than an hour of battery life after five minutes.

IrAirPods Max‌ now has 12 to 14 weeks to wait if you place an order to ship online, but you may be able to get them at an Apple retail store if you check each morning that in-store pickup is available.
