Premiere of the ‘Black Widow’ streaming

New York- The Walt Disney Co., modified its plans for the movie release on Tuesday, postponed some of the major films and changed Marvel’s “Black Widow,” among other titles, to Disney + in the same time they will hit theaters.

The “Black Widow”, the debut was planned for May 2020, will begin the summer film season on May 7, instead of its first which would be on July 9 and will be made so simultaneous on the company’s streaming platform, which will charge a $ 30 fee to have early access.

For cinemas, which are starting to reopen after being punished for months due to the pandemic, the announcement was a blow to hopes of having an immediate recovery. Although major tapes have decided to show off in streaming and have used the strategy of Premium on Demand, a kind of pay-per-event, in recent months.

Marvel movies are Hollywood’s most profitable at the box office.

Disney will kick off the summer with the premiere of “Cruella,” on May 28th. “The 101 Dalmatians” with Emma Stone will also be released in both theaters and Disney +, by paying a $ 30 fee — which is the same hybrid approach the studio applied with the recent release of “Stripe and the Last Dragon”.

Pixar’s film “Luca” will not be shown in theaters and will debut on June 18 exclusively at Disney +.

The studio also postponed the release of “Free Guy” from May 21 to August 13, “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” from July 9 to August 3, “Deep Water” from August 13 to January 2022, “The King Man” from August 20 to December 22 and “Death on the Nile” from September 17 to February in 2022.
