After receiving his first dose of the VOCID-19 vaccine President Laurentino Cortizo Cohen said the resolution setting a lower score for basic certification in general medicine is going to be repealed.

“Soon, but it will be repealed, no doubt,” the president said after leaving the 15 minutes of protocol surveillance, when he was vaccinated against COVID-19. He added that the approval percentage needs to be raised again.

The publication of Resolution 1 of March 3, 2021, which “establishes temporarily and until the state of National Emergency is lifted, the minimum score for approval by the basic medical certification exam, ”generated a general rejection from the country’s medical community.

According to the resolution, which was published in the Official Gazette of Friday, March 5, it is established that the minimum passing score for the basic medical certification exam at 360, which corresponds to the equated percentage of 34.5%.
