New for 2021, the Grand Cherokee finally wins a third row after all these years and with that row adds an L to the model name. Jeep has released the prices of this version today. While the construction and pricing tool is not yet in place, Jeep has outlined some of the options for all trim levels.
The Grand Cherokee L comes in four versions with two different engines and a selection of rear-wheel drive or three different four-wheel drive systems (Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II and Quadra-Drive II). There are cuts from Laredo, Limited, Overland and Summit. Engine options are what we would expect from Stellantis. You can choose the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 290 horsepower or the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with 357 hp. All-wheel drive is a $ 2,000 option for each finish.

The Laredo base starts at the $ 36,995 mentioned. Inside is a large standard touch screen. With 10.2 inches, it is equipped with the latest generation of the excellent UConnect 5. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. If you have a family with a lot of devices, they should have no trouble charging them indoors. There are a total of 12 USB ports in various places inside.
There is also the standard set of driver safety systems, such as lane departure warning, rear transverse road detection and forward collision warning. Heated electric folding mirrors, 18-inch wheels, fabric seats and automatic temperature control complete some of the standard features. It comes pretty decently equipped.
The following is the limited cut. Starting at $ 43,995, it is built in Laredo with more luxurious features. This is also the enclosure where, if equipped with four-wheel drive, Jeep’s Selec Terrain management system is standard. Inside are standard Capri leather seats with power and heating for the front two rows, a premium six-speaker sound system and interior lighting.
The Overland cut is next to the lineup. Starting at $ 52,995, this is the model where the Hemi V8 is available. Remember that the Hemi can only be obtained with four-wheel drive. Yes, that means you will have to spend a lot of money to get V8 power. The V8 is $ 3,295 more than the Overland 4X4 with the V6. That means a Grand Cherokee L Overland V6 4X4 starts at $ 54,995. So an Overland 4X4 V8 base costs almost $ 60,000 to $ 58,290. However, it comes with a luxurious style. There are exterior chrome accents on things like tow hooks and mirrors. You can get a contrasting ceiling available in glossy black paint, 20-inch wheels and door handles that bring a great presence. Inside are heated and cooled Nappa leather seats, a nine-speaker Alpine sound system, panoramic roof and electric third-row folding as standard features.
The last is the top of the line Summit. Starting at $ 56,995, it’s almost the latest Grand Cherokee L. You can make it even more luxurious with a premium package called Summit Reserve, which starts at around $ 62,000. There are padded Nappa leather seats inside for all three rows. This is interesting, as most car manufacturers that offer skin in three-row vehicles do not usually cover the third row of skin. There’s an oak-rimmed steering wheel, 16-way adjustable driver’s seat, five-mode massage function for the front seats, and four-zone air conditioning.
Whatever Grand Cherokee L model you choose, it will be a fully equipped and spacious addition to the three-row SUV / crossover segment. It would be nice to get the Hemi V8 in the lower finishes for buyers who want more towing power. The Grand Cherokee L hits dealerships this spring.
