Prince Andrew of Britain has received a lawsuit filed by an American woman accusing him of having sex with her when he was a minor and, while he was being abused by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, he revealed on Friday a new court record.

Andrew, who is the Duke of York, received the civil lawsuit filed by Virginia Giuffre on August 27 in England, according to the filing in federal court in Manhattan.

The document, a sworn statement from a trial server hired by Giuffre’s legal team, says the lawsuit was left with a police officer on duty at the gates of the Royal Lodge in Windsor, a property occupied by Andrew .

The affidavit said that when the trial server tried to file the lawsuit with Andrew the day before, a police officer told him that “security had been instructed not to allow anyone” to serve the prince with the lawsuit. or that you accept service on their behalf.

On August 27, the trial server wrote that he was told the lawsuit could be left with a police officer at the Royal Lodge “and that this matter would be forwarded to the legal team.”

A spokesman for Andrew made no immediate comment.

The prince, who is the son of Queen Elizabeth, has denied Giuffre’s accusations and says he does not remember ever meeting her.

Andrew had been a friend of Epstein’s for years.

A photo shows him with Giuffre years ago, as the ex-girlfriend and accused prosecutor of Epstein is left smiling in the background.

Epstein, who had also been friends with former Presidents Donald Trump and Bill Clinton, died in August 2019 in a Manhattan federal cell due to what has officially been declared a hanging suicide.

The mysterious money manager was then charged in federal court with trafficking in dozens of underage girls in order to sexually abuse them. Epstein had pleaded guilty in Florida in 2008 to soliciting sexual services from a minor girl.

Giuffre sued Andrew last month, alleging he had sexually assaulted her when she was 17 years old.

“I am making Prince Andrew responsible for what he did to me,” he said.

“The powerful and the rich are not exempt from being responsible for their actions. I hope other victims see that it is possible not to live in silence and fear, but to regain one’s life by speaking up and demanding justice.”

Maxwell is due to stand trial in federal Manhattan court in November on charges of recruiting underage girls to be abused by Epstein.

She pleaded not guilty in that case and is being held without bail in Brooklyn Jail.
