A filmmaker linked to the royal family has claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle risk falling into the dark, similarly to Edward and Mrs Simpson.
Nick Bullen, CEO of True Royalty TV, made comparisons between Prince Harry and his great-grandfather Uncle Edward VIII, who abdicated the throne in 1936 and wrote real memoirs years later.
Prince Harry will release his own book lifting the cover of his life to the royal family next year.
Bullen told Fox News that he believed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could end up being “players” and “uncomfortable guests” if they continue to distance themselves from Prince Harry’s family.

Royal filmmaker Nick Bullen said Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could disappear as “darkness,” as did his great-grandfather Uncle Edward VIII and his wife Wallis Simpson (pictured on their wedding day in 1937).

World power players? Or “uncomfortable guests”? Bullen said Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were of “high value” at the time, but that they could see their brilliance fade in the next decade (pictured during their 2020 interview with Oprah Winfrey)
Edward, the brother of King VI and uncle of the queen, relinquished his title – and the throne – to marry the divorced American Wallis Simpson. After the abdication crisis, the couple moved to France, where he remained until his death.
Award-winning documentary filmmaker Bullen spoke before the launch of one of his programs that explored the similarities between Harry and Edward VIII.
He said the fact that Edward and Wallis Simpson fell out of favor offered a strong warning to Harry and Meghan.
It may seem far from now, but it will happen. What will happen to Harry and Meghan in ten years? Will they be the same stars they are now? Some historians have suggested that this is unlikely, “he said.
He added that the great lesson of his documentary was that Edward and Wallis “faded into darkness”, eventually becoming “players” and “uncomfortable guests” at dinners in New York.
And while Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are now high-value commodities in the entertainment world, the filmmaker suggested it wouldn’t always be that way.
How long will Harry and [his wife] Does the value of Meghan Markle remain at such a high level? He said.
All eyes have been on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle since their decision, in 2020, to leave the post of royal senior and move to Canada and then to Montecito in California.

Bullen said the couple went from being an “A-lister” to “uncomfortable guests” after settling into married life after the actual departure of Edward VIII (pictured in Miami in 1951). )

True Royalty TV CEO Nick Bullen in the photo said the story of Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson should be a warning to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
Her interview with Oprah WInfrey in March 2021, her lucrative deal with Netflix, and their respective book offerings have kept the couple in public view.
Prince Harry announced that he would publish his memoirs through Penguin Random House in 2022, writing “Like Man” [he] he had become “more than the” prince who was born. “
Experts were quick to draw parallels between Harry’s foray into the literary world and his great-uncle, who wrote A King’s Story in 1951.

Like Prince Harry, Edward VIII published his memoirs, pictured, in 1951, six months before the death of King George VI.
Bullen said he hoped Harry, who still has a “significant impact” on the royal family, would be critical of the signing in his biography, which would likely be outrageous.
But the documentary filmmaker moderated his claims by saying that while Edward VIII liked to say he still wanted to be king, he was actually comfortable with his abdication and the consequences this had on his status.
Bullen said he did not believe Edward VIII regretted leaving the throne in favor of marrying Simpson.
Described by the Daily Mail at the time as a “unique work in the history of literature”, the autobiography of the former King Edward VIII was published in September 1951, just six months before the death of his brother. King George VI.
In his book written by ghosts, A King’s Story: The Memoirs of HRH the Duke of Windsor, Edward talked about how, believing that his “birth and title” should not “differentiate me from the rest of the people.” , it felt like I was in an “unconscious rebellion against my position.”
The final words of the volume focused on her decision to relinquish the throne in order to marry Mrs. Simpson.
He spoke of how “love had triumphed over politics” and that while it proved to be his “destiny” to sacrifice my beloved British heritage, he felt consolation that the decision had “long sanctified a union. true and faithful. “
Royal historian Robert Jobson told MailOnline that the play was “much more important” than the memoirs Prince Harry will publish next year, as as a former king, the Duke “had more gravitas” than the Duke of Sussex.
Harry revealed yesterday through publisher Penguin Random House that he was writing his book “not as the prince I was born with, but as the man I have become.”

The work is expected to further deepen the rupture of his relationship with his family and his brother Prince William, which contributed to the decision of his and his wife Meghan Markle to leave their royal duties and moved to California early last year.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said the 36-year-old Duke of Sussex grew up knowing he would have “no definite role” within the family, which caused him not to be taken seriously, despite all the his military and charitable work.
He added that the royal’s marriage to Meghan Markle “certainly changed him”, but his rivalry with his brother delayed his relationship with his wife.
Speaking to Entertainment Daily, Richard said: “Many think that the fact that William grew up knowing he would one day be king and Harry had no definite role, sparked rivalry between brothers who considered themselves inseparable.
“Harry’s reputation was the real wild boy for years, William’s image was much more serious no matter how much he behaved. Some say Harry was upset not to be taken seriously, despite his military service and his charitable work.
“Harry now believes that he was trapped as a member of the royal family and that William is currently trapped but does not know it.
He added that the breakup between the siblings had long been serious and that Harry’s marriage to Meghan “definitely changed him.”
“The rift between them, which was reported a long time ago and was first confirmed in the ITV documentary about her trip to South Africa, is public and serious. It was her marriage to Meghan that certainly , changed it “.
He added that the idea of the “Fab Four”, which saw Harry and Megan work with Prince William and Kate Middleton, was a “disaster”.
The brothers have been separated by a breakup that began in March 2019 when William allegedly expelled Harry and Meghan from Kensington Palace for alleged staff intimidation, with the Sussex breaking up their joint foundation and setting up a new office in the Buckingham Palace.
The allegations surfaced in Robert Lacey’s book, Battle of Brothers, published before Harry and Meghan went to Oprah to accuse the royal family of racism and claimed they were abandoned when the Duchess of Sussex was suicidal and six months pregnant.
Harry said publicly that his father and brother were “trapped” by the institution of the monarchy, and that he feels “really dead” by his father Charles.
In a series of startling claims, Harry revealed that the Prince of Wales cut off contact with him after his decision to move away from The Firm.
He explained how, during his stay in Canada, his father refused to answer his calls as family tensions increased and their relationship worsened.
The royal brothers recently gathered to inaugurate a statue of their late mother, Princess Diana, on the occasion of what would have been her 60th birthday.
