His son, Prince Edward, also said Philip was “much better” but “wanted to go out” and that the royal family kept his “fingers crossed” for him.
The Earl of Wessex thanked the welcomeers for their messages of support, as it was announced on Tuesday that Philip would spend “several more days” in hospital.
