Prince Philip died at the age of 99 on April 9, 2021. The Duke of Edinburgh was laid to rest in St George’s Chapel on April 16, with the presence of several members of the royal family. . According to reports, the details of Prince Philip will now have arisen and it appears that the Duke of Edinburgh left his most beloved possessions to his granddaughter Lady Louise Windsor, who is the youngest granddaughter of Philip, daughter of Prince Edward and of his wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex.

Lady Louise and Prince Philip reportedly shared a mutual love for horses, and so the Duke of Edinburgh left Louise his two ponies Fell, Balmoral Nevis and Notlaw Storm. According to Just Jared, Louise will also inherit her dark green four-wheeled chariot, the same one that wore Prince Philip’s brown cap, whip and gloves during the funeral ceremony.

It seems that Prince Philip’s granddaughter shares the same love for carriage driving that Prince Philip really enjoyed. The Duke of Edinburgh had been very fond of Louise and was also seen supporting her granddaughter while competing in the carriage driving of Private Driving Singles during the 2019 Royal Windsor Horse Show.

As for the recent funeral of Prince Philip, the ceremony was attended by only 30 guests, made up of members of the royal family, including the Duke’s children and grandchildren. The funeral also brought together the grandchildren of Prince Philip, Prince Harry and Prince William for the first time since the former left her royal role and moved to the United States. The duo were seen chatting as they marched together after the funeral ceremony.
