Since Women’s Day
This year, Christmas might be a little different for the royal family, as it is for all of us, but that hasn’t stopped Prince William and Kate Middleton from maintaining one of their sweetest festive traditions: their postcard of Annual family Christmas.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge send out personalized Christmas cards with a family photo every year, and this time they’ve opted for an outdoor winter theme, of course, with kids who look very cute.
This year’s family photo was leaked on social media, but has not yet been posted to Kensington Royal’s official Instagram account. The Christmas postcard shows William and Kate smiling next to their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, with the five sitting on a hay bale in front of a pile of chopped wood.
According to the winter theme, the whole family wears the warmest winter sweaters, which makes a difference from last year’s summer photography. True to form, Prince Louis laughs among his parents and is adorable.
According to reports, the filtered card is addressed to “All the amazing staff of the NHS”, followed by the message: “Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year”.
Family members often send out Christmas cards to thank charities and organizations they have worked with throughout the year, so of course it would be appropriate for the Cambridges to thank the NHS after such a difficult year of fight the coronavirus pandemic.
It is not known where the Christmas card photo was taken this year, but the family has spent a lot of time locking up their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall, and have previously taken their Christmas card photos there. Christmas, so it is likely that this may be the same.
The family has been busy this week, with the Duke and Duchess taking their children to see The National Lottery’s Pantoland pantomime at The London Palladium, which was held to thank key workers and their families.
George, Charlotte and Louis had the best behavior, as the Cambridges appeared together on the red carpet, holding hands.
Wishing the family a very Merry Christmas!
