Prosecutor’s Office investigates purchase of protective equipment found at the Institute of Forensic Medicine EsSalud | nndc | PERU

The Public Ministry reported that the Attorney General of the Nation Zoraida Ávalos Rivera ordered that the acquisition of health protection equipment (Epps) found in the Forensic Clinical Unit (UCF) of the Institute of Forensic Medicine of Lima be investigated. with a label indicating “EsSalud forbidden its sale”.

On Friday, September 3, forensic doctors at the UCF of the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Lima reported that within the protective equipment (Epps) received by the institution for the health protection of personnel (mamelucos or disposable overalls), some had the said label with the inscription EsSalud.

The Fifth Office of the Second Provincial Corporate Prosecutor’s Office Specializing in Crimes of Corruption of Officials, by Prosecutor Karla Zecenarro Monge, is investigating in a preliminary manner who are responsible for the alleged commission of crimes against public administration in the form of col · Illusion and embezzlement in grievance of the State.

Zecenarro Monge has arranged for the verification of the aforementioned personal protective equipment in the warehouses of the Institute of Forensic Medicine. It also gathers all the documentation that allows to know the origin of the equipment and the process of contracting of the same. This in addition to identifying who was in charge of the reception, custody, inventory and distribution of the goods.

The crime of collusion is stipulated in Article 384 of the Penal Code and has a penalty of 3 to 6 years in prison, while the crime of embezzlement (Article 387) is punishable by 4 to 8 years.
