Prosser: iMac 2021 will arrive in five colors, Apple Silicon Mac Pro will look like the Mac Minis “stacked”

Jon Prosser, a young newspaper, claimed today that the upcoming 2021 iMac models will offer five color options, reflecting the colors of the fourth-generation iPad Air, and revealed several additional details about the Mac Pro with Apple Silicon.

In a new video on the YouTube channel FrontPageTech, Prosser explained that the redesigned iMacs will come with silver, space gray, green, sky blue and rose gold options.

He shared images of what these new color options might look like in a redesigned ignediMac‌, but noted that he has yet to see the back of the new design, so his images are purely speculative beyond color.

Prosser explained that the range of color options aims to capitalize on the nostalgia of the original Maci original, which was presented in a selection of iconic colors such as lime, strawberry, blueberry, grape and tangerine.

Redesigned iMacs with thinner bezels and ‌Apple Silicon‌ chips have been long overdue, but it’s unclear exactly when they’re expected to launch this year or if the two model sizes will come out at the same time.

Prosser also sketched out a number of additional details about the upcoming acMac Pro‌ with ‌Apple Silicon‌, supporting previous rumors of BloombergMark Gurman. Gurman said the new acMac Pro will be less than half the size of the current Mac Pro, placing it between the existing Mac Pro and the Mac mini. It is speculated that the machine has a mostly aluminum exterior and can “invoke nostalgia” of the Power Mac G4 Cube.

Prosser has now said that the new ‌Mac Pro‌ will have a design that looks like “three to four Mac minis stacked on top of each other” and that provides representations of the supposed new look.

Internally, Prosser says the acMac Pro‌ will be designed with the “computing unit at the bottom” and a “large heat sink at the top”.

At the end of last year, Bloomberg reported that Apple plans to launch the new smallerMac Pro‌‌ smaller with ‌‌Apple Silicon‌‌ in late 2022, but that it could arrive as early as this year.
