Publix cancels the appointment window for Wednesday’s COVID-19 vaccine due to the weather

WEST PALM BEACH, Florida – The state of Florida does not escape the impact of the winter weather that covers much of the US

Storms extending from Idaho to Texas in Pennsylvania have delayed vaccine shipments to Florida.

Publix has canceled the COVID-19 vaccine appointment window on Wednesday due to lack of supply. The next scheduled appointment window will now be Friday morning at 7 p.m.

Publix said appointments scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday do not affect that change.

“We know how important it is to administer this vaccine, so we deeply regret the need to cancel Wednesday’s scheduling event,” Publix spokeswoman Maria Brous said Tuesday. “Once we receive an additional vaccine, we will announce the next opportunity for the vaccination appointment.”
