Puerto Rican wins “American Idol” audition

It all started with a toy microphone bearing the name of the show “American Idol” engraved on a sticker. It was given to him by his mother, who is a fan of Canadian singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette. That’s why her name is Alanis Sophia.

This is part of the story of the young Puerto Rican who on Sunday night won the jury of the famous talent competition “American Idol”, thus moving on to the next stage.

Born in San Juan and a resident of the state of Florida, Alanis Sophia shared that her mother gave her the microphone as a child in the hope that she would one day be part of the show and she got it.

The performance of the song “Anyone”, popularized by Demi Lovato, left the panel of judges speechless, who not only expressed his admiration for his talent, but for his personality.

“Not only do you have enough confidence, but also authenticity,” noted Perry, who at all times let his emotion be noted by what he observed and heard from the boricua.

Alanis Sophia, who at one point in the presentation was accompanied by her mother, got the golden pass for the next stage of the competition in Hollywood.
