This ninth month of the year seems to be decisive in the clash at Covid-19 in Cuba, based on the news that transpired in recent days.
The start in September of an intensive vaccination campaign in children and adolescents, plus the immunization of about 600 thousand convalescents to the disease over these 18 months, in addition to another 40 thousand people pending to be allergic to thimerosal, will complete the start for a possible goal: that this month already receive at least a first dose the entire Cuban population over two years with the possibility of being vaccinated, says journalist Francisco Rodríguez Cruz.

The task seems gigantic, more in the midst of a pandemic peak that is still far from controlled. From the organization and fluidity of this embracing process, depend on such important steps as the gradual resumption of face-to-face classes as the different levels of education receive immunization.

And this means not only waiting passively for the moment when each patient has his injection, but showing a proactive attitude, of interest, which helps to speed up, never to create obstacles, and in case of possible inaccuracies or inaccuracies. , which could well occur in a process of such magnitude, try to be part of the solution, without generating unnecessary crises or conflicts.
Because in addition, this offensive against the new coronavirus requires timely material security in the midst of the many economic difficulties we suffer as a result of the resurgence of the US government blockade, plus the effects of the global crisis itself with the pandemic.
It is therefore necessary to pay attention to the vaccine, and also to many other activities in the economic and social field, so that we have the possibility of recovering in parallel the health of the body and that of our resentful economy.
It is still predictable that we will face severe blows as a result of this terrible pandemic, of those that move us every day in recent months and affect us for the loss of loved ones or the anxieties and diseases caused by the virus, but we need to draw strength and confidence in our own abilities, so often tested, to overcome extreme situations, both individual and collective.
So we put our shoulder to the vaccine in the first place, but not only to it: also to everything that needs to be done, for the well-being and happiness of our people.
