Jacksonville, Fla. – Gardner Minshoe returns as Jaguars’ opening quarterback in Jacksonville. Starting Sunday’s game in Baltimore, whether he’s been working for more than a week depends on how well he plays.
The Jaguars (1-12) have lost 12 games in a row, and coach Doug Marron said he was going to crush that streak and do whatever it takes to win the remaining three games.
“I told them you had to be ready,” Marron said. “If someone comes in there and plays well, hey, that’s great, right? I mean things are going well, we’ve got a chance to win a football game. If you go there and you’re fighting for a particular one, we have to do something there so you can not get back from them. But this is not the only level where we talk about where we need to be [something] To help us.
“Hey, do I want to make a quick hook? Obviously not. I want someone to go out there and give us a chance to win and make those around them play better. Today.”
Marron lost to Mike Clenn 31-10 for Tennessee in the third quarter on Sunday. The Jaguars had five first setbacks and 99 yards of total offense on Glennon’s seven drives, the last of which ended with an interception when he tried to hit receiver DJ Sarc deep in the middle of the field.
The Jaguars rolled 15 overs and 255 yards with Minshu, although the Titans are playing soft deals with a 21-point lead. Minsho finished with 178 yards and a touchdown.
Oct. Injury for two weeks.
Rookie Jack Loton and Glennon started the next six games.
