Queen Elizabeth II of ‘Deepfake’ warns of misinformation

A “deepfake” Queen Elizabeth II delivered an alternate Christmas speech and even danced a Tik Tok routine as part of a campaign warning misinformation viewers.

The digitally modified version of the British monarch was broadcast on channel 4 after the true queen’s annual Christmas message was broadcast on the BBC and ITV on Friday afternoon.

“If there is an issue in my message today, it is trust. Trust what is authentic and what is not, ”says the fake queen.

The station told CNN that the fake video was to be “a strong warning about advanced technology that allows for the proliferation of misinformation and fake news in a digital age.”

In the modified speech, a voice actor posing as Queen Elizabeth II mentions the departure of Prince Harry and Meghan from the monarchy and the withdrawal of Prince Andrew from royal duties due to his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein .

The fake queen is a cut, dancing around a palace room and joking with Harry and Meghan: “There are few things more hurtful than someone telling you that they prefer the company of Canadians.”

Buckingham Palace has not commented on the artificial queen.
