A woman who says she was sexually assaulted by R. Kelly told a Brooklyn court that the singer locked her up without food or water for at least two days and then drugged her before the attack.
The plaintiff, who was interned at a Utah radio station during the 2003 incident, testified that she was detained at Kelly’s studio in Chicago after the singer promised the 21-year-old that she could interview him. lo.
The witness, identified as “Sonia,” said that when she was finally allowed to eat, she took a few bites and “felt something approaching her.” The next memory was waking up when Kelly adjusted her pants as she felt “wet things” between her legs and thighs.
“It made me feel like something had happened to me,” Sonia told U.S. Attorney Maria Cruz Melendez in Kelly’s racket and sexual abuse lawsuit. “I know my body … it touched me sexually.”
Sonia, who spoke about the alleged abuses in the 2019 life documentary “Surviving R. Kelly,” told defense attorneys that she didn’t call police or doctors after the incident because she was afraid of the singer and not she thought no one believed her.
Sonia stated that she signed two non-disclosure agreements in the studio without reading them, and was threatened not to cross Kelly before she left. The court never said he conducted the interview.
A second witness named “Anna” told jurors on Thursday that the singer would punish and punish her for violating her “rules” during a sexual relationship that ended in 2017. Anna said Kelly would record the sanctions on her iPad.
Anna, who is about twenty years old, also said Kelly forced her to have sex with other women and a man known as a “nephew.”
An indictment named Jane testified last month that she was also forced to have sex with “Nephew” during her relationship with Kelly.
Robert Sylvester Kelly, 54, has pleaded guilty to abusing and kidnapping women, girls and boys for decades with the help of his entourage. He is charged with nine counts of cheating and is charged with violating the Mann Act. If convicted, Kelly faces ten years in prison. The “Bump N ‘Grind” singer faces similar charges in Illinois and Minnesota.
The court has heard a litany of witnesses who alleged that Kelly consciously transmitted herpes, practiced oral sex on a teenager and ordered a 16-year-old victim to lie about her age.
The court also learned of the singer’s former associates who prepared Aaliyah to have sex when she was a teenager and bribed an official to illegally marry the then 15-year-old to avoid charges related to her supposed pregnancy.
