Rachel Bilson opens up about her time to go out with OC co-star Adam Brody.
Bilson, 39, talking to Nylon on Tuesday, talked about his time playing Summer Roberts and dating Brody, the then costar.
“Because of what the show was like and how young we all were, spending it with someone who was experiencing the same thing and having that kind of support was really amazing,” the Los Angeles native said. “I’m really grateful to have him.

“It was definitely a unique experience and I don’t think anyone would have been able to really understand it if I hadn’t been there, so for that reason it was very helpful and supportive and I have total gratitude for the whole experience.”
Bilson said she would be receptive to restarting the program (which initially ran from 2003 to 2007) and has maintained contact with the show’s creator Josh Schwartz, whom she described as a brother, and writer Stephanie Savage.
“You know, I’ve always said everything Josh and Stephanie want to do, I’m on board, but it’s hard to figure out what you would do with the characters and where they would be,” he said. . “I’ll say that if they ever wanted to do it, they would.” But I don’t know where you’re going.
He said he was “really texting with ‘ex-boyfriend Ben McKenzie,’ who was so nice and welcoming another kid into the world.”
