Rainbow Six Quarantine Apparently renamed by Ubisoft

Over the past year, many have pointed out that the next version of Ubisoft Quarantine Rainbow Six it has become a rather ironic title given the number of people around the world who started quarantining because of the pandemic. Well, for one reason or another, Ubisoft seems to be less interested in that name now, and apparently will change it soon.

In a new leak that has occurred in the PlayStation Store, Ubisoft has released a new patch prior to release Quarantine Rainbow Six which apparently changes the name completely. Moving forward, Quarantine has been removed with the new name Parasite Rainbow Six. After digging, new images were also found that contained the key art of the game and the new logo within this update.

While a name changes to Parasite it’s pretty interesting in itself, what’s more intriguing is that Ubisoft even does a pre-upgrade to this version. While we shouldn’t jump to conclusions, the fact that Ubisoft is even preparing an “initial release patch” for Parasite Rainbow Six it seems to tell us that we could soon learn a lot more about the game.

At this time, release date of Parasite Ubisoft hasn’t given it away, but recently the publisher gave us a better window of when to expect it. As mentioned in a recent earnings call, Ubisoft said the game will come out sometime before the end of its second quarter of next fiscal year. This means that it will arrive before the end of September on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC.

Assuming this name change to Parasite Rainbow Six it’s official, we should get confirmation from Ubisoft soon. If this happens, we’ll be sure to update you on our game coverage center right here.
