The controversial British-Indian businessman Raj Kundra has been denounced by Bombay police in connection with the sensational case of pornography that had international ramifications.
Kundra, 46, is the husband of Bollywood actress, model and fitness expert Shilpa Shetty. Kundra, who is the founder of Viaan Industries Ltd, and his UK-based brother-in-law, Pradeep Bakshi, the chairman of the Kenrin group in London, are the alleged brains of the racket.
The Crime Branch-CID of the Bombay police, which has been investigating the case for the past few months, presented the first sheet of additional charges in the case, which was 1,500 pages long.
Kundra and his partner Ryan John Tharpe have been named defendants in the case. Currently, the duo is in judicial custody.
Porn content was uploaded to the HotShots app. After creating the content, the two companies, Viaan and Kendrin, made them available on mobile apps, offering subscriptions, announcing them on social media.
