Johnny Hekker has officially won the Rams pointer battle over Corey Bojorquez. After it was speculated that Hekker could be traded or cut, Los Angeles split from Bojorquez on Tuesday, just off the ET list deadline of 4 p.m.
The Rams are negotiating Bojorquez with the Packers, according to Tom Pelissero. It’s an amazing last-minute move, but one that keeps Hekker in Los Angeles for a tenth season.

This is a benefit for the Rams, who manage to hold an All-Pro four times at Hekker and also regain something in exchange for Bojorquez, who signed a one-year contract this offseason.
It’s not a huge comeback, but they move from the seventh round to the sixth round in the 2023 draft.

• A Green Bay Packers: P Corey Bojorquez + 2023 7th (via Detroit)
• In Los Angeles Rams: 6th 2023 (original)– Los Angeles Rams (@RamsNFL) August 31, 2021
Bojorquez was impressive in the preseason, especially with his 70-yard bomb against the Broncos on Saturday night, doing enough to grab the Packers ’attention in search of a new pointer.
