If you subscribe to Nintendo’s official YouTube channel, you may have noticed during the last day that it has re-uploaded the general Switch Online trailer. Despite being a new climb, the ones I don’t like already outperform the ones I like.
At the time of writing, there are about 5,000 likes and 15,000 dislikes. Here is a sample of one of the thousands of comments:
“Uploading this trailer online a million times won’t change the fact that we’re still against it.”
Although it has some viewers who think Nintendo is trying to get a more positive reception from its fan base, it seems likely no the case.
As noted with some other comments below the same video, towards the end of the trailer there are now images of the new Switch Online exclusive, PAC-MAN 99. There are also Animal Crossing: New Horizons gameplay there, so it’s definitely an updated video.
“They added Pacman 99 to the trailer at 2:43. That’s all. That’s why they hung it up again.”
Still, it’s not the best aspect when this trailer keeps hanging up and the ones I don’t like significantly outweigh the ones I like.
While the Switch Online service may not have the best reputation among the fan base, the service isn’t exactly difficult. As of September last year, it now had more than 26 million subscribers.
So how can Nintendo make other fans happy? Apparently, only a Nintendo 64 game library would be needed:
It’s not the first time we’ve seen headlines about companies re-uploading game trailers. Last year, The Pokémon Company re-uploaded a video of Pokémon Unite on multiple occasions.
