Rangers makes adjustments to his 40 roster with an outfielder

the Texas Rangers announce this Wednesday that they have designated to the young gardener Cuban Adolis García by assignment. His place on the 40-man roster is for right-handed pitcher Mike Foltynewicz, the previously reported one-year contract is now official. Garcia, 27, went 6-0 with a four-strikeout base in seven appearances on the plate with Texas in 2020.

This marked his first and now perhaps his only season with the organization. The Rangers originally acquired it from the St. Louis Cardinals in exchange for cash in December 2019.

Garcia has only 24 appearances on the Major League plate in his name, and hasn’t done much with them. He was a consummate batsman in the Cuban National Series before deserting and eventually landing with the Cardinals, for whom he spent considerable time in Triple-A.

Garcia’s free swing forms have resulted in an insignificant OBP, but his power is evident. In one thousand 104 appearances on the plate with Triple-A Memphis, he beat 260/299/505 with 57 homers, 58 doubles and a dozen triples. A total of 69 home runs in three years in branches.

Garcia, 1.85 meters and weighing 92 kilos, has a bit of speed, as evidenced by these triples and 26 stolen bases. However, it is not particularly efficient on base trails either; they have captured him 14 times.

Texas will have a week to change it, release it, or try to get it through absolute waivers. Garcia, 27, has a minor league option left, so it is possible for a club in need of the gardens to harness their power of dexterity despite the lack of discipline on the plate.

In spite of his age still he is considered a novice in Great Leagues, by his few turns.
