After 13 races in the (changing) calendar of Formula 1, this is the hierarchical order that takes into account each of the competitions and therefore is a rise and fall in qualifications and emotions
1 (2) Max Verstappen | Red Bull – Impeccable victory for the Dutchman. He dominated the qualifying session and then defended himself without suffering from the two Mercedes, so dominant was the local driver in Zandvoort.
2 (1) Lewis Hamilton | Mercedes – He lost the lead in the standings, but was as close to Verstappen as he could. One gram of quality cannot be spared from this man.
3 (4) Fernando Alonso | Alpine – Like good wines, Fernando has aged well. A good rating from the Asturian and then consistency in the difficult Zandvoort, consistency that paid off with a nice fight against Sainz’s Ferrari, which he beat. This old lion still has a lot to offer and teach.
4 (3) Lando Norris – McLaren – He enjoys the credit he accumulated during the first 10 races, because then he has fallen into a pit. Yesterday his driving was dirty and not up to a great driver.
5 (10) Valtteri Bottas | Mercedes – The Finn wrote one of his best lines in his history with Mercedes, with Toto Wolff, to be more specific. He disobeyed. His days are numbered in Brackley and they are already waiting for him in Hinwil.
6 (5) George Russell | Williams – After a “no Spa Grand Prix” where his great achievement was a dream come true, in the Netherlands he returned to the reality of driving a Williams.
7 (8) Charles Leclerc | Ferrrari – Whenever he can, the Monegasque gets a lot of juice out of this Ferrari. Both he and Sainz now have the team in a one-on-one match against McLaren. One of the most interesting battles of the year.
8 (12) Pierre Gasly | AlphaTauri – The best of the rest on the track in the province of North Holland, but not so much as to have a Red Bull.
9 (6) Carlos Sainz | Ferrari – The Spaniard complained of a lack of rhyme in the race. However, he scored good points for the cause and remains in direct struggle against Leclerc.
0:19
The Mexican driver mentioned that he had the pace of the race to beat Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonso, but the touch with the British affected the car.
10 (7) Sergio Pérez | Red Bull – If for Checo Pérez outside the weeks should be five days, disappear on Fridays and Saturdays when he does not reach the track and appears until Sunday to make 12 passes.
11 (9) Esteban Ocon | Alpine – The French driver, as well as his teammate, have raised Alpine’s aspirations. Gradually they become a formidable force in the middle of the grid, both when it comes to qualifying and with the pace of the race. Also, Ocon will surely be learning a lot alongside Alonso.
12 (11) Sebastian Vettel | Aston Martin- Ferrules and little rhythm in the Dutch peralts, for this huge rider who is a better person.
13 (14) Daniel Ricciardo | McLaren – The Australian doesn’t measure up to the act. Yes, he got into Q3 but then in the race he didn’t put up holding points and was, once again, overtaken by his teammate.
14 (15) Nicholas Latifi | Williams – Remarkable improvement in qualification, sum of points (although they are the given ones in Belgium), although in the Netherlands the things for him have not left.
15 (19) Antonio Giovinazzi | Alfa Romeo – It was Tonio’s turn to add points. He made a great Saturday, one of the best in his year, but the act was not enough to sustain the passage of the top 10. Missed opportunity.
16 (18) Lance Stroll | Aston Martin – If we don’t see the standings after the GP and a few friends maneuver to Vettel, we don’t even know he ran
17 (13) Yuki Tsunoda | AlphaTauri- Like Haas pilots, Yuki has the argument of being a rookie. On the other hand, it is already the 13th date, in a rather short circuit and yet Gasly took too much in qualifying and then, in the race, the act left the Japanese lying. Maybe it wasn’t going to end even near Stone.
18 (16) Kimi Raikkonen | Alfa Romeo – He announced his retirement, gave him COVID-19. Kimi is already in a hurry to go home.
19 (17) Mick Schumacher | Haas F1 – ‘Baby Schmi’ beat his teammate again and was about to finish the race. New track for everyone and it’s good for learning to have endured so much in Zandvoort.
20 (20) Nikita Mazepin1Haas F1 – While he had a ‘moment’ with Checo Pérez again, we can’t say it’s his fault, the track is very narrow and difficult and he was competing, not that he was being beaten. He left but not because he had left the car on the wall. In fact it was a very clean race and that speaks well of the young Haas and Yuki. Before abandonment, he had dominated Mick.
21 (-) Robert Kubica | Alfa Romeo – He ran again in F1 and wasn’t a nuisance like “others” who follow in that ranking a little lower.
