Urban music producer Rafael “Raphy” Pina proposed restoring the Normandie Hotel to a post he made via his Instagram account.
“Let them speak clearly that we restore it in one! Let them tell me,” Pina commented in her post that it was just a photo with the words “Question? Are the Normandies selling it?”.
A proposal to demolish the iconic hotel at the entrance to the islet of Vell Sant Joan, which has been abandoned and in disarray for several years, was recently discussed in the Legislature.
From this has emerged a debate in which several experts in the field have opposed its demolition, claiming that it is possible to be renewed.
Similarly, a citizen, in the form of a protest, has begun painting the hotel with the Puerto Rican flag at the end to show that the structure is stable and can be renovated.
