Real Madrid has moved a second offer to Paris Saint-Germain for Kylian Mbappé which amounts to 180 million euros, club sources told ESPN. This offer is divided into 170 million fixed plus 10 other variables which, according to sources, will be “easy to meet”.
The answer of PSG is not yet known, but flash people consulted reveal that it will be difficult to accept the Madrid offer, because the Parisian club values the player at 220 million.
On Tuesday night, ESPN reported that the first offer for Mbappé of 160 million had been instantly rejected by the Parisian club.
From then on, Leonardo, sporting director of the PSG, exploded in an interview with various European media and confirmed the above. In addition, the sporting director described as “illegal” and “disrespectful” the behavior of Madrid in the operation.
However, Leonardo himself admitted that if Mbappé wanted to leave Paris Saint Germain, he would, but he would have to be under “his conditions”.
ESPN already reported on Tuesday that Madrid should raise its offer to at least 200 million to convince PSG, but the response of the Parisians to the last offer of the whites is still unknown.
On Wednesday at noon, ESPN said that Real Madrid was already considering making a second offer that would be around 180 million euros for Mbappé, which has been confirmed late tonight.
As for the player, Mbappé, has been the priority goal of Florentino Pérez ahead of Erling Haaland. The striker has rejected two renewal proposals by the French club and has filed a request to be transferred to Real Madrid as soon as possible to confirm the roadmap that Madrid had to get their services.
In fact, several of his own teammates admitted yesterday how his “optimism” in early August had turned into “resignation” in the face of Mbappé’s possible move to Real Madrid.
Returning to the PSG, Leonardo insisted that they would ask Real Maderid for more than the 180 million euros (plus variables) they paid to Monaco for his transfer in 2017.
With this second offer, and knowing that Madrid could wait until the summer to sign the 22-year-old striker for free, Florentino Pérez wants to show the Mbappé that he is “determined and committed” to signing him.
The Madrid club sees Mbappé as an ideal footballer on whom to build Carlo Ancelotti’s new Madrid and they want him to be the image of the team’s regeneration along with the new Santiago Bernabéu.
The Madrid club has been preparing for the signing of Mbappe for some time and this summer has raised around 80 million euros for the sales of Raphael Varane at Manchester United and Martin Ødegaard at Arsenal, to which we must add the departures of Varane and Ramos and the zero cost of signing David Alaba.
