The voice of “Firm!” Sounded, and in the Granma Hall of the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, musicians Israel Rojas Fidel and Yoel Martínez Rodríguez, members of the duo Bona Fe, were highly distinguished.
They already knew that the Replica of the Machete Mambí of the Generalissimo Maximum Go’mez had been granted to them, the delivery of the being postponed by the COVID-19; but in the faces and voices of the honorees, this Wednesday, the emotion was noticeable.
They received the distinction from the hands of the Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR), General of the Army Corps Álvaro López Miera, in a ceremony also presided over by Roberto Montesino Pérez, Deputy Head of the Ideological Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba; Alpidio Alonso, Minister of Culture; Abel Prieto, president of the House of the Americas, and other FAR leaders.
The closing of the activity was praised with the interpretation, by Good Faith, of its song The strength of a country.
On June 24, the high recognition was given to other Cuban personalities.
