SAINT ANTHONY – The registration to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in the mass mass of Alamodome, COVID-19 vaccination site at no current cost, is complete, according to the city’s website.
Registration opened for residents of Bexar County and others in one of the other 26 municipal districts at 9 a.m. Saturday. However, if you sign in and try to register for the vaccine, you will be notified that all places have already been filled.
The 9,000 spaces available for next week were taken within six minutes of the registry opening, according to city officials. More than 11,000 people were on the city’s registration website when it opened at 9 p.m.
Registration is complete for the 9,000 slots. We will open more time slots as more vaccines become available. Thanks for your patience. Keep following us on our social media accounts for the latest information.

The website was also difficult to access, probably due to the number of residents trying to register at one time.
However, city deputy director Colleen Bridger said in a statement that the system did not really crash when residents tried to register.
Although the places have been filled right now, he said there are more incoming doses.
“The appointments were filled, the system did not fail. As the state of Texas sends us more vaccines, we will open more appointments. It will be enough for everyone, just manufacturers need to take time to develop / distribute the vaccine, “said Dr. Bridger.
Only 1,500 eligible residents a day can receive the COVID-19 vaccine and the vaccination clinic officially opens on Monday. But city officials reassured those unable to register that there will be more doses of vaccine in the coming weeks.
Those who are eligible to receive the vaccines include health care workers and residents in long-term care centers, known as Phase 1A and Phase 1B, which includes residents over the age of 65 or residents aged 16 and over with a chronic disease.
These chronic medical conditions include: cancer, chronic kidney disease, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), heart disease, solid organ transplantation, obesity and severe obesity, pregnancy, sickle cell disease and type 2 diabetes.
We have contacted city officials for more information on vaccine registration and will be providing more news as they become available.
