All-Star Brawl is a platform fighting game that includes a list of at least twenty characters from the Nickelodeon franchise. Ludosity, its developer, by the way, has already worked on games with a distinctive cartoon style. Other characters announced for the platform game include Nicktoon staples, such as SpongeBob, Patrick Star, Michelangelo, Nigel Thornberry, Danny Phantom, Aang, Korra, CatDog and more.

The inclusion of Ren and Stimpy was previously hinted at two months ago on the PlayStation blog and then filtered in the Nintendo Switch store. According to the look of the game video, Ren and Stimpy’s moves are as funny as the previous ones SpongeBob reveals.

Ludosity game designer Matías Singer explained on the ad unit that Ren and Stimpy were a special addition for beginners. All-Star Brawl: “The wide range of attacks makes it easier to launch attacks on opponents without having to change position, which is very useful for new players.” Based on what they said in the blog post ad and what they said Kotaku About looking forward to welcoming new playersIt seems that Ludosity anticipated that a non-negligible part of the public would be Nickelodeon fans, instead of fighting only game fans.

The reception of the game has been largely positive so far, and the have stated the developers that Nickelodeon had largely left game design in the studio. This should be welcome news for gamers who love competitive games, as Ludosity previously created Slap City, another well-regarded platform fighter.
