Mitchell expressed his hope that politicians, including the president, should be prepared to accept the outcome of an election, whether they win or lose.

Mitchell seemed to agree with the sentiments shared by many GOP members that there were issues surrounding the election, adding that “administrative errors and even some fraudulent votes could occur” due to the size of the voter turnout.

“However, the president and his legal team have failed to provide evidence of massive fraud or administrative failure that could affect the election results,” Mitchell said.

Mitchell added, “Rona, you know Michigan politics very well. President Trump did not lose Michigan because of Wayne County, but lost because of declining support in areas including former Republican strongholds of Kent and Auckland County. ”
