Representative Stephen Lynch hires COVID after two doses of Pfizer vaccines

Representative Stephen Lynch (D-MA) announced Friday afternoon that he had tested positive for COVID-19 more than a week after receiving his second dose of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine. A member of his staff tested positive earlier this week. Lynch received the second of two doses before President Joe Biden’s inauguration on Jan. 20. Its communications director wrote in a statement: “While Mr. Lynch remains asymptomatic and feels well, he will self-quarantine and vote for representation in Congress next week.” Pfizer told local NBC station 10 that his vaccine requires seven days after the injection to provide complete protection. Prior to the inauguration, Lynch had also been negative. Representative Lori Trahan (D-MA), a fellow Massachusetts representative, said Thursday she had also tested positive after returning to DC
