Review: Georgia Rewrite by Donald Trump

Former presidents and vice presidents have told us how psychologically difficult the first months of losing power can be. So we can empathize if former President Trump is frustrated these days, and perhaps that explains his attack on us Thursday for his role in the Republican Party’s loss of the Senate.

“The Wall Street Journal editorial page continues to consciously fight for globalist policies like bad trade deals, open borders and endless wars that favor other countries and sell our great American workers, and fight for RINOS that have suffered so badly the Republican party, “Trump said in a statement. “They are where they are and will always be. Fortunately, no one cares much about the Wall Street Journal. ”

For someone who says we don’t care, I’m sure he spends a lot of time reading and answering us. Thanks for your attention.

What really seems to anger the most famous Mar-a-Lago resident is not his caricature of our political differences. It’s that we recognize the reality that Mr. Trump is the main reason Republicans lost two races in the Georgia Senate in January and therefore a majority in the Senate. Trump refuses to take responsibility for these defeats, contrary to all evidence.

Trump’s statement blames Georgia’s losses on Gov. Brian Kemp and Senate government leader Mitch McConnell. His rap to Mr. Kemp is that he did not fight hard enough to undo the loss of the president’s status in November, a statement that Trump made his main campaign theme before the Georgia Senate election on January 5th.
