Everyone has an opinion on what Deshaun Watson has to do. He doesn’t seem to want to be with the Houston jeans after feeling despised by the team’s team and not having seen them fully in various organizational decisions.

It has been a recipe for a convincing off-season discussion, with fan bases across the league wondering what his team’s offense with Watson at the helm might look like.

Durant The Cris Collinsworth Podcast, cornerback Richard Sherman, who is a co-host of the show, shared his opinion on what Watson should do and does not join the San Francisco 49ers.

“If I were Deshaun, I would get out of there as quickly as possible. I would go to New York,” Sherman told Collinsworth and George Chahrouri. “… The Jets. It would be the most beautiful (situation). A decent offensive line. They should find threats. They should find some offensive weapons. But I think there would be a lot more people excited to be there.

“I think the free agency market this year will be oversaturated due to the salary cap, but that would be what it would do.”

The suggestion is interesting, as Sherman is scheduled to become a free agent himself and has made it clear that he does not expect to return to San Francisco due to the team’s salary cap situation.

Former Sherman defensive coordinator with the 49ers, Robert Saleh, is now the head coach of the Jets, so naturally there has been some speculation that the All-Pro corner could be tied for New York. Nor can he be the only imminent free agent for the 49ers watching the Jets.

“They can put together a team, and yes [Watson is] at the helm, they immediately become candidates not only for this division, but also for the AFC in general, ”Sherman added.

Then you can listen to the whole conversation with Sherman.
