Rising waters flood the main roads of the central coast

A storm pouring large amounts of rainfall on the central coast is flooding roads across the region, forcing many to close.

A San Luis Obispo, San Luis Bay Dr. is closed from Highway 101 to Monte Rd. However, some drivers made their way through the rising waters.

Closing began shortly before 8 a.m. Thursday morning.

Just south, the floodwaters also closed the main roads in the Santa Maria-Guadalupe area.

Near Orcutt, Caltrans closed Highway 1 between Solomon Rd. and Black Rd. This closure can last most of the day.

Black Rd. it is also closed at the intersection of Stowell and Santa Maria.

Floods are forcing the closure of Highway 1 near Guadalupe on Dominion Rd.
