Kim Nam-joon, Or better known by its stage name RM, Idol of K-pop and BTS is the king of the day in celebrating one more year of life this Sunday 12th September.
Before becoming the superstar of K-pop, RM began his musical career in the Korean underground as rap and hip-hop singer in 2008, at that time RM was known as Randa Randa; but when he entered Great shot changed the meaning to Monster of rap.
Just as BTS mutated in different meanings, RM also went through different stages in its name when it went Randa Randa now to Rap Monster, for a long time fans thought the new name was because Kim was rapping like a monster.

RM found the inspiration for Rap Monster in the song “Rap Genius” of the South Korean rapper Sant E. the lyrics said “it should be called Rap Monster as I rap non-stop”; nickname that to the future leader of BTS he found it cool and from there appropriated it, But without going beyond just the name and not for his way of rapping.
However, until just about four years ago, RM decided to change the meaning of its acronym again.
with Bangtan Sonyeondan, Nam-joon ya he didn’t feel comfortable with Rap Monster so he decided to put an end to this artistic nickname that already it did not represent it.
It was then that RM was left alone, with only the initials of the extinct Rap Monster and as the leader of BTS.

On the other hand, the meaning of Kim Nam-joon’s real name is related to his leadership at BTS: “Southern Geniuses.”
