What he says “American football” more than a bunch of cars playing, eh, the others kind of football? Don’t think about it too much, but Rocket League is starting a new game mode in celebration of the NFL Super Bowl LV.
From February 2 to February 8, a new game mode called Gridiron will be available. The playing field will be modified to look like an American football field, with hash marks and the NFL logo on the 50-yard line.
The game is 4 on 4 and the ball is now a pig skin. If you touch the ball, fix it to the roof of your car (just like real football) and the carrier can jump individually, but not double jump, which drops the ball.
Passing the ball involves dodging or letting another player touch the ball. Each goal is 3 or 7 points: 3 points if the ball crosses the finish line, but 7 points if a player carries it on his own. The goals themselves are three points regardless of how the ball enters.
Along with Gridiron, players will also be able to complete new event challenges to unlock the “Gridiron Guru” title, NFL wheels and 20,000 XP. There will also be an 800-credit NFL fan pack that will allow you to get octave stickers from all 32 NFL teams, so you can support your favorite. Bortleeeees !!!
