Rocket League The third season will not run completely live until tomorrow on the popular video game, but before its release, the big update is available on the different platforms on which it can be played. When the Rocket Pass is up and running, it will add a new car, but before this upgrade a new exchange system is added that should make it easier and more rewarding to get rid of unwanted inventory items.
Beyond this update has no extreme consequences. It includes other new features, new music, bug fixes and more, but it doesn’t change the game much or really improve the overall game experience. That said, when measured by the length of the patch notes, this is arguably one of the biggest updates in weeks.
Below you can find the full notes of the update, courtesy of Psyonix:
CHANGES AND UPDATES
- Change update
- Trade Ins are now managed in their own section in the Garage
- All items suitable for exchange are divided into three categories:

- Plans
- The Change menu shows how many eligible business listings you have, sorted by category and rarity
- Trade Ins work the same way as before:
- 5 Uncommon = 1 Rare
- 5 rare items = 1 Very rare
- 5 Very rare = 1 import
- 5 imports = 1 exotic
- 5 exotics = 1 black market
- Tournament objects and (revealed) plans can now be changed regardless of the series. The tournament item or plan you receive from a change is directly related to the series of items you changed.
- For example, if you change three plans in the Ignition series and two plans in the Ferocity series, you will have a 60% chance of receiving a plan in the Ignition series and a 40% chance of receiving a Blueprin in the Ferocity series.
